App development in Berlin: from concept to the App Store.
Having an app developed means, with me: concept, design, iOS code, server, subscription and App Store submission from one person, in Berlin. Four own apps came out of this, two in the App Store, two in review. For companies that need a tool for customers or staff, and for founders with a product.
What I build.
Native iPhone and iPad apps in Swift and SwiftUI, with widgets, Apple Watch, push, iCloud and subscriptions through StoreKit or Stripe. Plus the server when the app needs one: Node or Next.js, own database, AI connection, on EU servers. And what sits between idea and store: privacy texts, App Review, screenshots, price structure.
Proof: Healmen, a training app with subscriptions. Hi Honey, a dating app for my own bar. Hours Away, a world clock for iPhone, iPad and Watch. muri, bedtime stories made from a child's words, with AI stories and own voices.
When an app is the right answer.
When people need the tool on the move, with camera, push or offline. When a subscription is the business model. When staff should record something in the business without training. If not, a web app is cheaper and faster. I say so in the first call, before money moves.
What an app costs.
A first version with one clear purpose sits in the five figures and is in TestFlight within weeks. Apps with server, subscription and several roles accordingly more. You get a fixed price from the feature plan, not an hour counter, and a monthly amount for server, updates and store care. Code and Apple account belong to you.

Questions
- How long does it take to have an app developed?
- A first version with one purpose in six to twelve weeks to TestFlight. Apple's App Review then usually takes days, sometimes longer when questions come back.
- iOS or Android too?
- I build natively for iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch. For Android I recommend a web app or a partner; if both are needed, I say so in the first call.
- Who owns the app?
- You: code, Apple developer account, server, data. I stay for operation and updates as long as you want.
- What does an app cost?
- Fixed price from the feature plan, five figures for a first version, plus monthly operation. The figure is in writing before the start.
Describe the app idea.
Three sentences: who uses it, for what, on which device. You get an honest assessment and a price.
