Emotions through Light

Building Honey Lou made me realize my love for working with wood and light — something I never knew I had, so I started to learn how to use Wood and other materials to build Mood Enhancing Lamps Especially after the positive feedback about the impact of the light on our guests.

Building lamps became a hands-on, meditative process that opened up a new level of creativity.

Creative Technology meets Wood & Polymaterials.

After countless refinements, the result is a minimal, timeless mood lamp, effortlessly activated with a swipe gesture.

The infrared swipe sensor is linked to a relay switch, allowing the lamp to turn on with a simple hand movement from 10–15 cm away.

The Impact of Orange Light on Mood

Orange light has a warm, calming effect that naturally enhances mood and well-being. Unlike harsh white or blue light, which can feel cold and overstimulating, orange light mimics the soft glow of sunset and firelight— both deeply rooted in human evolution as sources of warmth and safety.

It promotes relaxation, comfort, and creativity, making spaces feel more inviting. Studies suggest that warm-toned light can help reduce stress, support melatonin production in the evening, and create a more soothing atmosphere for winding down.

This is why orange light is often used in ambient lighting, helping to transform environments into spaces of calm, focus, and inspiration.
